Children & Youth

The children’s and youth work caters for the very young, children and teenagers.

On Mondays and Fridays, 9.30 am, ‘Tiny Tots’ Parent & Toddlers sessions are held until 11.30 am.

On Tuesday’s at 9:30am, a Parent & Toddler Church & Play Session is held until 11:30am.  These sessions allow for parents and their children to play together, but there will also be a Bible story and a theme related craft, as well as the singing of some Christian themed songs.

Every Tuesday a Parent & Toddler lunch is provided for a small charge, and this is followed at 1:30pm by ‘Diddy Dots’ a Parent & Baby Group (For babies up to 2 years of age) and at the same time ‘Little stars’ is an Adoption & Fostering Support Group is held for Parents/Guardians and their children.

There is a Sunday School, called Church & Chips, which starts at 10:15am and provides activities and games to help children aged 2-13 learn about Jesus.  The children spend some time in the worship meeting with the adults as well as having time for their own activities.  The Children take part in a singing practice before having lunch (Sausage/fish-fingers/chicken nuggets… with Chips and beans)

Children’s Explorer Group is a Children’s discipleship group which meets on a Monday evening once a month from 6pm-7pm to learn about the Bible and to learn about The Salvation Army and the Church.  This group is open to children of all ages.

A youth club meets every Friday evening during the school term, for 4-11 year olds, 6pm-7:30pm.  This allows the children to play indoor games, and outdoor games when the weather permits.  There is a tuck shop and food is also served at a small cost (Burgers, Hot Dogs, Pizza & Chips)

Once a month parents are invited to come to club with their children to attend Messy Church where Bible stories and craft activities help the children and parents explore Christian themes and learn about Jesus.

There are also music sections which children can get involved in: the Singing group, and the YP Band.
