Andy Peddle visited Guernsey on his walkathon to raise money and awareness for the Salvation Army’s work with the homeless and anti-human trafficking programmes. He walked through Guernsey from St Peter Port Corps, where he was greeted by the members of the After School Club and Parent & Toddler Group. He had a stop at BBC Guernsey and then walked on to St Sampson’s Community Centre where he was greeted by cafe and charity shop customers and staff and then he walked to L’Islet Corps, accompanied by Community Programme Manager, John Mahy, where he was greeted by members of the Corps. In each venue Andy sang ‘We’ll never walk alone’ and spoke about his walk through the British Isles so far. At L’Islet, Major’s Jamie and Claire Hill presented Andy with a cheque for £750. Andy left Guernsey bound for the Island of Alderney.’
